STRINGS has been invited to PATNA FILM FESTIVAL. For the first time my home state will view my film. I wish Allahabad High Court dismisses the P.I.L lodged by the sadhu's of Allahabad on the poem 'MANTRA' by Baba Nagarjun, and I am able to release the film through out the country.
Hope the holy dip in the river Ganga in Allahabad-kumbh recently has strengthened the Sadhu's spritual quests to review the understanding of the poem .

Movie making is an easy task when it remains in the realm of entertainment only, however, it becomes a different ball game altogether when it is made with a purpose and where you as a director want to convey your message across. Indian moviegoers have to awaken and start realizing that just like newspaper has freedom to have an editorial, film industry also has a role to play to define the norms of the society and has same degree of freedom to express and screen. Unfortunately media takes a back seat when a moviemaker like you has been cornered and they just seat and watch. They can help people understand your position. There is an inherent problem with Indian media that when any individual's achievement is recognized by western media they immediately follow that but they can not have their own initiative on that front. No wonder Satyajit Ray's Pather Panchali or Shekhar Kapoor's Bandit Queen had to be endorsed by western world first and then Indian media quickly followed by gratifying their achievement. Sadly there is a new trend of making a controversy also to get the attention of media or make a movie on controversial issues where media immediately gets attracted to. It is a disturbing trend and young directors like you will hold the front and get the rightful for your initatives. Wish you good luck for future.
